The world of Expanding Words

So how many words does Isabella say now...let me count!

Momma, daddy, dog, kitty, nana, poppa, hi, bye, fish, bubble, baby, turtle, banana, waffle, cheese, meow, woof woof, shoe, sugar, Jacob, Devon, book, draw, choo choo, vroom, water, bottle, Barney, Gymbo, plane, here, huh, chips, cookie, Elmo, milk, cracker, poo poo, stinky, wee, side (for outside), pretty, bath, brush, night night, ow, Owen, Hudson, boom, ball, toe, eye - there might be more but that is all I can think of right now. Ya I know -she is a smart one!

She says or does animal noises/actions for cow, dog, kitty, elephant, monkey, fish, baby, momma, lion, bear, pig, sheep, goat, snake.

She has been sleeping in her own room for a while now - and sleeps through the night! It is awesome! Momma got 9 hours of sleep last night!

I am now 9 weeks along and feeling just as nauseous and tired as ever! I can't wait for that to all go away! But like someone told me yesterday - that is a positive sign of pregnancy so I should be grateful! :). I officially applied for that job so now we shall wait and see - I have to go in for an interview for it and than hopefully will find out in the next couple of weeks if I get the job! Wish me luck!! I have been slacking on pictures lately but I will try to take more soon and post some! Post to ya later!

Swimming and Growing up!

A couple of weeks ago the neighbors and I took the kids for one last summer field trip. We went to the YMCA which was LOADS of fun! And it was free so you definitely can't beat the price. Half the time Isabella just wanted to work on her tan....
But I was able to get her to go down the slide a few times (sorry for the sideways picture, I don't know how to turn it around hahaha).

And than she decided to get some beauty rest after all the hard playing :).

So what was the big surprise from the last blog? We were going to put Isabella in her own room - yes I know after almost 18 months in our room we decided we needed a little break from kids in our room before the next one came.

We got her into bed at 9:50pm....

And here she woke up...after sleeping ALL NIGHT in her room...at 8:00 am! She is such a big girl! I think it was harder for me than it was for her to go to sleep in her room! Hopefully this trend of sleeping well continues!

The wonderful world of nausea, exhaustion, and work

I haven't made a post in a long time. Isabella and I have not had much time to do anything besides sit around the house. I have been working WAY too many days in a row (3 on, 2 off, 3 on). But I am going to be having 5 days off soon. Work is not the easiest when you are feeling like you are going to fall asleep any moment...or when you feel like at any moment you could hurl (that would actually make life a little better actually...instead I hold in all the darn nausea).

So I guess I am already starting to show...I have had 2 people come up to me and say that my belly is starting to stick out...WOW that is so fast! I guess I am going to be super huge this time - cause last time I was big but I didn't start to show until at least 12-14 weeks! It is 8 weeks now (yep 8 whole weeks) and I already have a belly! Lord help me - I have a feeling I am going to be asked A LOT if I am having twins!

Now on top of being pregnant, I am trying to decide if I should apply for a different type of position at work. It is a discharge planner position, and it is 4 tens instead of 3 twelves. So that would make for 1 extra day at work, but I would also be getting home at a descent hour, and I was thinking maybe that would take away how exhausted I have been since I started this job. But I think I would miss bedside nursing! Oh the pros and cons - we will see. I am trusting that I will do the right thing whether it is apply for the position or stay a bedside nurse! Either way I will miss being around Isabella so who knows.

Speaking of Isabella, she is just as spunky as ever. Last night when I was getting in the car after work, Sam taught Isabella how to say "Hi momma"! Ya that made my day! She is totally starting to copy everything we say - it is so exciting but also a little nerve racking - I really need to watch what I say now! Tonight might be a big night for us - I am not going to jinx it but believe me if we do what we are planning on doing you will definitely hear about it! Wish us luck (even though you don't know what it is for yet hahaha)!

First OB appointment

So today I went to my first OB appointment. I am currently not quite 7 weeks along. What are some things I learned today? Well first off, I found out because of my previous history with preterm labor at 32 weeks and preterm birth at 36 weeks, I am going to have to get a shot called 17 progesterone starting at 17 weeks and going until 37 weeks. This is a shot I have to get every week during that time. It is supposed to significantly reduce my risk of going into preterm labor again. It can still happen, but my OB said she has had to use mag sulfate only a quarter of what she used to after starting this shot. So while getting shots every week for 20 week is REALLY going to suck, if I don't have to be cooped up in the hospital again for 2 weeks that would be worth it.

So now I have scheduled my next appointment in which Sam and I will HOPEFULLY be able to hear the heartbeat. This is the part I remember that really stinks...waiting until that moment when you know that the baby is growing the way it should be. If I have any bleeding before my next appointment, I call and get an ultrasound. While I would LOVE an early ultrasound, I really don't want to have any bleeding to have to get it.

So what is new with Isabella?? Well, she is really excited about having a little brother or sister. Not really - she doesn't even know what in the world is going on. All she knows is she had to be at the doctor's office today in the waiting room with my mom and nephews for 2 hours - sorry Mom, Jake, Devon, and Isabella! I know that really was a LOOOONG time to wait with a 17 month old.

She is also saying more words now - and really trying to be independent. She is starting to throw tantrums...especially in public - like screaming, throwing her head back tantrums. Yep- I have officially become the mom with the screaming toddler who I used to look at and say it would never be me. And what is worse is that my mom says Isabella doesn't do that to her...what does that mean? Should I be rethinking my parenting skills?

We have also gotten her a big girl potty to try to use! She now likes to sit on it, without a diaper. Every time I go to the bathroom she has to "go" too. I guess at Sam's parent's house they noticed that she had to poop she they put her on the potty there and she went poop in the toilet!! She ran away scared after she realized what she had done but I thought that was pretty impressive that she sat there to do it.

Deanna Rose and Random Fun

Last week's field trip was to Deanna Rose Farmstead. It was a beautiful day and the kids all had a great time just running around with the animals.

Can you just see the pure enjoyment in her face?? She loved all the goats. She did not, however, like the big sheep that kept trying to eat momma's shirt - I wasn't a big fan of that one either!

It took her a little bit to warm up to actually touching the goats but once she did she fell in love!

See what did I tell ya?? She couldn't get enough of them - just wanted to hug every one of them!! I know she's adorable!

After running her 5K she decided to sit down for a little breather...man she was tired. For a whole 10 seconds than she was back and moving again!

She actually sat down and learned something - not really but we can pretend. This was one of the rare opportunities I had to get all three of the kids together in a picture - and none of them are crying or turning away!!

Here we are - momma and Izzy! I just love this little girl!

Here she told me "Mom that cow is humongous!!! I want to ride it". Yep I promise she said all those words all at once - she is a genius! Either that or she just looked at the cow and kept repeating "mooo". I think she is a genius either way :).

She loved feeding the baby goats milk out of a bottle...until they started ripping it out of her hands - than she would try to grab the bottle out of the goats mouth !

At the end of the day we had all the kids sit on this cute toddler size bench to get a wonderful picture! At least they are all sitting and facing forward! You try to get three toddlers to sit still, smile, and look at you all the same time - not very possible!

Okay so you know my child has horrible eating habits... so here is something to add onto your list of things Isabella should not get but does...I was eating a vanilla cone, she decided she wanted it and so she took it! Yep...and she loved every lick of it too.

She even stood next to her daddy to pose...Ya she actually posed for this picture! I have a regular camera hog on my hands! Her daddy's not too shabby either huh??

She was just so excited she couldn't contain herself! Just look at how happy she was!!

This is what happens when you get a bored mom, an interested child, and a sugar wafer together! All sorts of craziness! Don't worry Isabella helped me put the stickers on - I don't just torture my child!

Well we have one more scheduled field trip before Jennifer goes back to work so stay tuned for those pictures (hopefully!).

We have had a fun, action packed weekend! Starting on Friday, I am an amazing mom and set out a water park in our backyard for Isabella to play in. Her friend Owen came to join us. It was too nice outside to be stuck inside!



Jennifer had a wonderful idea and we placed the Kangaroo Climber slide into the pool so the kids could act like Evil Keneivel! I was so excited because NO ONE ended up with any bumps or bruises...we came close a few times though! :)

Isabella has learned a new word...."CHEESE!!!" Do you think I take a lot of pictures? Oh ya and her Nana does too. This poor girl has no chance!

Isabella is so good at going down a slide! I think she is a pro at pretty much everything. Not bragging or anything :)

We let our child run amok completely naked most nights. She decided it would be fun to play in her tunnel with her snacks...It is so much better to do with no clothes on right?

She loved the fact that the cat was waiting for her at the end of the tunnel. The cat was not a fan.

She loves putting hats on her head, yet she screams half the time when other people are putting hats on. Some free advertising for Liberty Cycle Center! She is too darn cute!

She was having such a fun time playing with us and than decided she wanted to hop up on the couch and be like daddy! Here she is with those darn snacks again...you would think I could put a handle on my kid and tell her not to eat constantly. She is amazing though and sneaks behind my back, climbs into the pantry and pulls out the snacks herself! Or maybe it is her daddy who gives her whatever she wants. Whichever you want to believe.

Ya we are pretty cute family....Sam and her are nothing alike either. Oh wait...they are like twins!!

She used to be obsessed with her snugglies...which she still is sometimes. But lately she has taken to this blanket. She has her own spot on the floor with a pillow and she lays down and snuggles with her blanket! Here is her saying "cheese" again!

She is just such a snuggle bug...too bad she doesn't snuggle with me like this! If I try to lay down with her she pushes me in the head and points away from it! I can take a hint.

Oh just a little something else that happened to us this week! I wasn't going to say anything until at least 11 weeks but since Sam get's excited and can't keep a secret in and has told pretty much the whole world any way, figured I might as well share! Oh ya and the fact that everyone who reads this blog already knows....We have been trying to get pregnant since February...and it finally happened! You can barely see it in the picture but I promise - there are TWO lines! When this line popped up I didn't believe it and dug around until I could find the instruction booklet. Yep...one blue line next to the other means "PREGNANT!" Went to the doctor today and confirmed it with their pregnancy test! I am 5 weeks and 1 day pregnant! And guess what...this baby's due date is the exact same as Izzy's was - March 31...uh oh...does that mean I am in for the same pregnancy again?? If everything turns out as great as the last one...I can handle whatever!

A little video to finish up my blog. Thought I would end with two really cute kids who can't get enough of doing anything dangerous :).

Sam and I have a habit...probably a bad habit but we love it. When he picks me up from work we either go get food or cook something quick like pizza and we eat it in bed (it is like 830 by the time we eat so we figured it is the perfect place to relax). Well, Isabella has gotten into the habit of joining us for these late night treats...as you can clearly see with her eating pizza in bed.
She knew this was something new and exciting for her and she loved every minute of it.

She even hammed it up for the camera!! Thanks daddy for your quick thinking in grabbing the camera...I would have hated to miss this photo opportunity!

This week's field trip was to Paradise Park...if you have never been it is definitely somewhere to take your children...or to go for an adult play day! They have SO much to do for little kids...and for adults they have go carts, rock climbing wall, games, bumper cars, and more. All us neighbors were saying we might go back without the kids next time!

We started out our day outside in their little playground they had. All the kids had a blast!

The kids are obsessed with sand and they had a huge "sandbox" for them to dig in.

Isabella discovered this little teepee..but did not stay in it very long.

They had a little play room for toddlers that had padded floors, padded "furniture" and toys that were perfect for their age!! I want one of these in our house...maybe I can convince Sam to create a padded area for Isabella whenever we finish our basement...Ya right :)

Isabella loves to crawl through any tunnel, and especially when she can "scare" people on the other side!

They had a water table room here as well, which was absolutely perfect for the kids. It was the perfect height and had tons of toys for them. The floor was even rubber so the kids could splash and we didn't have to worry about them slipping on the wet floor.

They had a market place set up with play food that the kids could place into baskets...this is Isabella's favorite game - you give her a bag or a basket and things to put in it and she could spend 10 minutes just taking stuff out and putting it back in! I think I have a little shopper on my hands already :).

They had a "pizza parlor" the kids could all play in...they fought over the fake jars of peppers, but when they realized there was enough for everyone, they all played very nicely together.

The ball pit was a HUGE hit...for everyone but Isabella. I thought she would love being in it...but she cried unless she was near me...Guess she isn't as brave as I thought...there ARE things that scare her.

Owen had a BLAST in the ball pit...he kept throwing the balls and almost made them into a really small target - this kid is going to be a pro baseball player!

Hudson loved the ball pit...and if you can see in the background, Rowan (Christina's son) joined us as well for some fun at Paradise Park! He was really getting around good in the pit!

Isabella isn't really smiling in this picture...but at least she isn't screaming!! I love when I get a good picture of us two!

The kids even loved the bathroom at this place! They had a kid sized sink for them to wash their hands. They were having a blast playing in the water. The things that keeps my daughter entertained!

After a long day of playing, we went back into the toddler room, where Isabella decided to relax and read herself a book...she looks pretty comfy I might add!

Tuesday Isabella and I went with Nana and her Cousins Jake and Devon to see the Chronicles of Narnia exhibit at Union Station...it was neat but not worth the money. But any time Isabella gets to spend time with her Cousins and Nana she is in heaven!

You couldn't take pictures inside so this is about the only picture of the exhibit I was able to take.

The kids were posing! Aren't they all so sweet! (for this picture at least)

I love this picture...looks like Isabella has her body guards keeping an eye on her...make sure you don't mess with Izzy or your might have to deal with J and D! :)

Isabella loved watching the "choo choo" as she called it on the tracks!! She loves trains and cars and anything that moves.

Isabella kept trying to go for Devon's ice cream...and here she finally got a lick! I just love how much these boys get along with Isabella cause she adores them! I am having such a GREAT summer! I think having a child to enjoy it with makes it even better! She is growing up fast...but at least I have pictures and memories to look back on!
